Bookends Book Club In-Person

Inspired by a true story, "People of the Book" is a novel of sweeping historical grandeur and intimate emotional intensity by acclaimed and beloved author, Geraldine Brooks.

In 1996, Hanna Heath, a young Australian book conservator is called to analyze the famed Sarajevo Haggadah, a priceless six-hundred-year-old Jewish prayer book that has been salvaged from a destroyed Bosnian library.  During the conservation process,  she discovers tiny artifacts in its ancient binding—a butterfly wing fragment, wine stains, salt crystals, a white hair-and unwittingly exposes an international cover-up.

All adults welcome to join the discussion.
