The House of Fear

The tenth of the Rathbone-Bruce films finds Holmes investigating a series of deaths at a castle, each of which was foretold by the delivery of orange pips to the victim. This is the movie that started it all for the Clients – the one a young Jerry Williamson watched which led to his interest in Sherlock Holmes.

Daffy Duck is “Dorlock Holmes,” and Porky Pig is “Watkins.” The intrepid duo are sleuthing in Victorian London in hopes of finding and apprehending the Shropshire Slasher.

They Might Be Giants

The adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Watson in modern-day (1971) New York City. The fact that Sherlock Holmes is a psychotic paranoid and Dr. Watson is a female psychiatrist fascinated by his case is almost beside the point. Dr. Watson follows Holmes across Manhattan and is, against her better judgment, drawn into the master detective’s world of intrigue and danger.
