Collaborative Art Project: Gee's Bend Quilt Mural In-Person

In celebration of Black History Month, we are creating a collaborative mural of a Gee's Bend Quilt! Gee's Bend Quilts are quilts that have been created by women and their ancestors who live in or have lived in the African-American hamlet of Gee's Bend, Alabama. These quilts are works of art, so we will do our best to create a beautiful mural to honor these amazing creations! To participate, sign-up to reserve a piece of the mural, come to the Youth Services Reference Desk at the Zionsville Branch to pick up your mural piece, color your mural piece, and return your mural piece to the Youth Services Reference Desk at the Zionsville Branch. As mural pieces are returned, they will be placed on the bulletin board so we can all watch our beautiful quilt come to life!
